"Every Child Matters"

September 27th is Orange Shirt Day in Canada.  Acknowledging this day provides an active invitation for our region to participate in reconciliation.  Staff and students are encouraged to wear orange shirts on this day and all schools will have a moment of silence, following the Mi'kmaq land acknowledgement after announcements.

As wearing pink has become an anti-bullying statement, our hope is that wearing orange on September 27th will be recognized as a commitment to reconciliation in honour of the children of residential schools.
